Farewell

Dear Lehi 44th Branch Sisters,

As most of you may already know, Sisters Holland, Pickett, and Bishara have been released as your Relief Society presidency. We have so enjoyed our time serving you as your Relief Society presidency these past 2 1/2 years. We have come to know and love each of you and are grateful for the opportunity our Father in Heaven gave us to be able to do that. Though we will miss serving you in this aspect, we look forward to having more opportunities to serve you in other ways. 

Sister Barney has been called as our new Relief Society president and we look forward to supporting her in her new calling. We welcome her back to Relief Society as she has been serving in Nursery. As she has opportunity to call her counselors, we look forward to supporting them as well.

We love you and look forward to still seeing your beautiful shining faces at church and activities!

Special Announcement: Temple closed July 23

On the July announcement papers, it mentions our regular temple session, however, the temple will be closed that day due to the holiday on the 24th. Please make note of that and tell anyone who you know of who is planning to go.

Special Announcement: Church cleaning in April

Yesterday, our first Sunday in the new "old" building, we got the building schedule. We also learned that we are responsible for cleaning the church this month.

The current set time for cleaning the church is set for every Saturday (this month) at 8:00 AM.

Special Announcement: Branch Meets in Different Building at New Time

As announced this past Sunday, our branch meetings will be moved to another building in the stake and will be held at a new time. We still are in the same stake and we still have the same branch name, but we will now meet in a different building at a new time.

Starting on April 10, 2011, 

we will be meeting at 9:00 AM at the building 

located at 1149 N 300 W

LEHI, UT 84043. 

On this map, point A is our current building and stake center. Point B is the red brick building we will now hold our meetings.

169th RS Birthday Dinner

We had such a great time at our RS birthday dinner this past Tuesday. Thanks goes to all those who helped make it possible. Sister Bishara out-did herself again with the beautiful decorations.
Sister Day from the church translation department was there to speak to us about how we should put our work shoes on and go to work for the Lord and serve others.
We took several pictures that night while we were there. They have been posted on the "picture" page for you to check out.

Church Cleaning in February

Sisters,

It is our branch's turn to show our gratitude for our building by cleaning the church each Saturday in February. If you'd like to help with this assignment, please talk with Brother Crowther.

Also, Brother Crowther will be making assignments to families as needed. If you and/or your family is asked to help, please come on your assigned day, so that it doesn't all fall on one person to clean it all on their own.

Special Announcement: Hearing aids for Africa

Brother Barney's nephew is working on his Eagle project. He is collecting hearing aids and creating a hearing aid bank for children in Africa. Currently, children have to wait for months to receive hearing aids, so he'd like to change that.

If you have any old hearing aids - working or not (they will repair/refurbish any broken hearing aids) - please bring them to church or give them to Brother Barney for his nephew to take to Africa in March.

Special Announcement: Exercise Group

Ladies, we are starting the new year off right! We will have a our first exercise group of the year tomorrow night starting at 8:00! We'll be doing Zumba. Sister Pickett has the DVDs and we'll find a room, get a TV (we hope) and go for it! Come join in on the fun and get fit with us! Hope to see you there!
